Aurora InfoTech is proud to announce that we have been named a finalist for the Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) Spotlight Award in the Advancing Diversity in Technology category.

This national recognition highlights organizations that are making meaningful progress in innovation, community impact, and inclusive excellence across the technology industry. Aurora InfoTech will be honored alongside fellow finalists at the North America Community & Councils Forum and Spotlight Awards gala, taking place March 9–11 in Chicago.

A Commitment to Advancing Diversity in Technology

Being named a finalist reflects our ongoing commitment to building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive technology landscape, both within our organization and throughout the communities we serve.

At Aurora InfoTech, diversity is not treated as a checkbox initiative. It is embedded in how we grow our team, how we lead, and how we engage with our community. Through intentional workforce development, inclusive hiring practices, mentorship initiatives, and community outreach, we are actively expanding access and opportunity for underrepresented voices in technology.

“Advancing diversity in technology is not optional; it’s essential,” said Roy Richardson, Co-Founder and Chief Security Officer of Aurora InfoTech. “The strongest, most resilient organizations are built on diverse perspectives, inclusive leadership, and a culture where people feel empowered to contribute and thrive. We are honored to be recognized as a finalist for this important award.”

Recognizing Measurable Impact

The Advancing Diversity in Technology category celebrates organizations that demonstrate measurable impact through inclusive practices, leadership accountability, and long-term investment in building a stronger and more representative technology workforce.

This recognition affirms the work we have done to create meaningful pathways into technology careers and to foster a culture where every individual feels valued and empowered to succeed.

Driving Inclusion Through Community Leadership

Aurora InfoTech’s efforts extend beyond our internal team. We actively support community initiatives that strengthen the future of the technology industry through education, outreach, and professional development opportunities.

We believe that Cybersecurity is about more than protecting systems. It is about protecting people, empowering professionals, and strengthening communities.

“At Aurora InfoTech, Cybersecurity is about more than protection; it’s about people,” Richardson added. “When we invest in inclusion, we invest in the future of innovation, trust, and community resilience.”

Looking Ahead

Finalists and award recipients will be celebrated during the GTIA North America Community & Councils Forum and Spotlight Awards gala in Chicago this March. Regardless of the outcome, we remain committed to advancing diversity, building resilient organizations, and contributing to a stronger, more inclusive technology industry.

We are honored by this recognition and grateful to our team, partners, and community members who continue to support and advance this mission.
