On August 16, Aurora InfoTech joined Empowered Girls Inc. at their Back-to-School Program—a purpose-driven event designed to prepare young women for success in the classroom and beyond. Held at the Dr. James R. Smith Center in Orlando, the program brought together inspiring speakers, engaging activities, and meaningful conversations focused on equipping students with the tools, insights, and confidence to thrive in today’s digital age.
Our CSO, Roy Richardson, was honored to present “Outsmarting Online Creeps, Scams & AI Tricks.” The interactive session helped students understand the risks of the online world and how to stay one step ahead of cyber threats.
The internet offers endless opportunities for learning, connection, and creativity—but it also comes with real risks. Scammers, impersonators, and AI-powered tricks are evolving fast, often targeting younger users who may be more vulnerable. The session encouraged students to look at the online world with both excitement and caution, balancing digital opportunities with practical safety skills.
The presentation guided students through a practical set of lessons:
The presentation wasn’t just about identifying dangers—it was about empowering students to feel in control of their online experiences. The session encouraged them to be proactive digital defenders for themselves and their friends by giving them tools to recognize scams and protect their personal information.
At Aurora InfoTech, we believe Cybersecurity awareness starts early. By giving the next generation practical tools to outsmart online threats, we’re helping build safer digital spaces—not just for individuals but also for our communities.
