An Evening Worth Celebrating
The Fall Innovation Showcase is one of the UCF Business Incubation Program’s signature annual events – a night that brings together entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, and community partners to celebrate the companies that are growing, graduating, and making their mark across Central Florida.
This year’s event carried even more weight with the debut of the Million-Dollar Club – a new permanent recognition program honoring UCF Business Incubation companies that have achieved $1 million in annual revenue. Nearly two dozen companies reached that milestone in 2025 alone. The room was electric. The energy was the kind you only get when an entire community decides to show up and celebrate each other.
Walking back into that space as a graduating company felt different. It felt earned.
What the Panel Covered
The discussion touched on themes that any entrepreneur, at any stage, will recognize:
- How each company evolved from an early idea into a scalable, market-ready business
- Real challenges each company navigated and the strategies that helped them move forward
- What the UCF Business Incubation Program specifically gave them, and how it shaped the companies they are today
- The state of Central Florida’s innovation ecosystem and what makes it worth investing in
- The one piece of advice each founder would give to the entrepreneurs in the room
There were no rehearsed answers. Just real talk from people who have been in the room, made the tough calls, and kept going.
Roy's Part on the Panel
Aurora InfoTech was represented by Roy Richardson, our Vice President and Chief Security Officer, who joined three fellow graduating company leaders on stage for a candid panel discussion moderated by Rafael Caamano, Interim Director of the UCF Business Incubation Program.
Roy was joined by:

- Matt Rose, CEO of Tech Rage IT
Together, they had an honest, open conversation – not a presentation, not a pitch – just four founders talking about what it actually takes to build something real.
What This Moment Meant to Us
Aurora InfoTech was founded in 2016. We walked into the UCF Business Incubator as an emerging company with a vision and a lot of determination. The program helped us close the gap between where we were and where we wanted to go, and the people, the environment, and the belief placed in us during those early years helped shape who we are as a company today.
Being invited back to stand on that stage and speak to the next generation of founders was not something we took lightly. It was one of the most meaningful moments we have had as a company.
Our Commitment to Community
At Aurora InfoTech, giving back is not something we do on the side. It is woven into who we are. We have always believed that the best thing a growing company can do is turn around and invest in the people and communities that made that growth possible.
Showing up at the Fall Innovation Showcase as a graduating panelist was our way of doing exactly that. And if even one entrepreneur in that room walked away with something they could use – a perspective, a mindset shift, a moment of reassurance – then every bit of it was worth it.
